For Presidents Day we learned about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. We also got to watch "Kid President" meet President Obama, the kids loved that! After we learned about "Kid President" we thought about what we would do If we were president. Please enjoy our fancy writing about George, Abe, and their dreams about being the President. In order to organize our thoughts, we make a 4 square on day one along with the book title and cover. Each day after, we use our 4 square resource to help us while writing about our topic each day. We focus on conventions and details during our writing process. The pages in the books are all done independently now, and I couldn't be more proud of all the confident, awesome, writers I have in my class!! What a fun day filled with 100 day activities we had! We worked hard individually as well as cooperatively to count out items of 10 to groups together to make 100. Zero the Hero's cousin, Zerona, also visited....because you need 2 zeros to make 100!! Hope you enjoy the pictures below to show you some of the fun we had while learning about our numbers to 100. |
